Mak: “We must win the play-offs”

“Give it 100% in the play-offs, get top spot and earn the UEFA Champions League berth”. This is PAOK’s main aim for the remainder of the season, as presented by Róbert Mak.

28.04.2015

Róbert Mak spoke to media representatives about the match against PAS Giannina, the upcoming encounters and the play-offs. Here is what the Slovakian attacking midfielder had to say:

His initial statement about the encounter against the Giannina outfit:

«It was a tough match, as PAS have a strong side. They defended in numbers and made it difficult for us to find a way through. They took the lead, but we equalized rather quickly and then tried to net a second. PAS defended successfully. It was not pleasant to let these two points slip, but we have still two matches ahead for the regular season and then the play-offs, where we aim to take first place».

The positive aspects he would keep from the encounter vs Giannina:

«In the first half, we were solid in our possession. We failed to do that in the second half, therefore resulting in half chances. As I told you earlier, we need to focus in the remaining two encounters and then give it 100% in the play-offs and win, in order to secure our main aim, the UEFA Champions League spot. There are no favourites there. Panathinaikos are not at their best right now. If we play well and improve with each match, we stand a good chance».
