The fans have spoken. Charles Itandje is the MVP of January. The Cameroonian goalkeeper is in fine form and proves it time and again on the pitch. In January he was spectacular and, despite the team’s mediocre results, he held on to his part of the deal. He saved two penalties –against Asteras Tripolis and AEL Kalloni- the latter sealing PAOK’s victory. In the encounter against Panetolikos, he was about to stop his third penalty in a row, but the ball played a nasty trick on him and landed at the back of the net after squeezing from under his body.

Itandje collected an overwhelming 82% of the vote (more than 2.000 votes). He becomes the second PAOK goalkeeper to earn the MVP of the month award, after Panagiotis Glykos, who did so twice last season (January and February 2014).
