PAOK trained at sunny Nea Mesimvria on Friday noon. The “Double-Headed Eagle” trained in different groups according to their fatigue from back-to-back encounters. Răzvan Raț, Róbert Mak, Facundo Pereyra and Charles Itandje played foot-volley to cool down, Miguel Vítor, Giorgos Katsikas, Dimitris Konstantinidis and Dimitris Salpingidis went through physical condition drills, while Stefanos Athanasiadis remained in the gym for physiotherapy.
The remaining players trained for more than an hour, their session focusing on ball circulation, combinations in front of miniature goals and on finishing following crosses from the flanks. Alexandros Tziolis and Panagiotis Deligiannidis went through a recovery session with ball exercises under the guidance of Giannis Katsanikas. Nikos Spyropoulos trained with them. Panagiotis Glykos did his own recovery training.
Saturday’s training session is scheduled to begin at 17.00 at Toumba Stadium.
