PAOK skipper Stefanos Athanasiadis> made a very important statement after the encounter, believing that much can be achieved through unison. Here is what he said:

«After our last game, we said that we alone can turn our situation around on the pitch. We came here to do exactly that, but everyone witnessed what happened today. We want our fans to come at Toumba and help us, because we are alone and we need them by our side. It’s not a simple victory. I believe that people will come to assist us. We are alone against the whole system. Each one helped their teammate and that bore fruit».

About his position on the pitch: «I hope it doesn’t happen again. It’s been many years since I last featured as defensive midfielder».

About the cautions: «I saw that Kace couldn’t contain himself. I have improved on the cautions’ front this season, having learnt a lot through the years. It’s natural to say something in the heat of the moment, afterwards it’s up to the referee. We needed a cool head in order  to win the match. We must keep a low profile on the pitch, because anything else will hurt us».
