Cimirot voted 11888 MVP for December
In December, PAOK left their bad streak behind them and returned to their winning ways. Apart from the goalless draw at Livadia and the Greek Cup encounter at Volos, the “Double-Headed Eagle” won the rest of their games, with their away victory at Dortmund being of course the highlight of the month. According to the fans who voted on paokfc.gr’s poll, Gojko Cimirot was the team’s most valuable player last month.
Despite his young age, he displays maturity on the pitch, is able to control the pace, contributes to the team’s attacking plays and never neglects his defensive duties. Gojko Cimirot completed his first full month in the “Double-Headed Eagle” and proved that PAOK should expect much from him.
The race for 11888 MVP of December was tough and the competition strong. PAOK defence corrected their previous errors, therefore converting Giorgos Tzavellas and Stelios Malezas into contenders for the MVP accolade. However the young Bosnian won the vote and his first individual award at PAOK.
Cimirot won 42,7% of the vote. Tzavellas came in second (33%), a percentage rewarding him for some excellent performances. He also participated in the team’s attack and scored the winner against Panionios. Stelios Malezas came third, after assuming defensive responsibilities when Miguel Vítor and Ricardo Costa got injured. He was impeccable in his duties and won 24,73% of the vote.
