PAOK prevailed 3-0 over Veria in the Toumba friendly on Tuesday. The scoreline is irrelevant, but Vladan Ivić was happy to see his alternatives multiply.
Fernando Varela made his unofficial debut for PAOK, Diego Biseswar played all 90 minutes, Stelios Kitsiou, Stelios Malezas, Jairo and Facundo Pereyra got into competitive rhythm and all of them showed they are ready for action.
PAOK dominated proceedings throughout the encounter, imposed their pace, created chances to score through collective moves and scored three beautiful goals.
The first two were both created by Marin Leovac and scored by Pereyra –two exquisite combinations that gave PAOK the lead in a span of six minutes (29’, 35’).
After the interval, Jairo teed up Biseswar with an excellent defense-splitting pass for the third goal, in the 63rd minute.
Those who didn’t play on Tuesday will get minutes during the friendly encounter against Atromitos in Athens.
