Three points and it's on to the next one...

PAOK found it tough against Kifissia at the Toumba Stadium, but in the end the Double-headed Eagle showed composure to manage every obstacle presented to them over the 90 minutes to get the three points against the and Stoiximan Super League newcomers and make it two wins from two games.

Razvan Lucescu made an extensive rotation to his team with six changes from the game against Hearts in Scotland, starting Vierinha, Michailidis, Baba, Ozdoev, Murg, Taison and Tzimas.

PAOK started the match strongly, dominated from the first minute and started looking for corridors through the visitors defence and to towards Christianson’s goal. The first chance came in the 14th minute when Taison sent over a cross and Tzimas failed to beat the opposing goalkeeper with a headed effort.

In the 23rd minute, Andrija Zivkovic was brought down in the area, and he stepped up to take the spot kick but Christianson had an answer and saved the Serbian’s effort from 12 yards.

PAOK kept on pressing, howeber, and finally got their reward in the 43rd minute with the opening goal. Taison and Baba exchanged passes, and then the Ghanaian sent over a cross for Murg. The Austrian fired goalwards and Christianson made the save. Thankfully for PAOK, Stefanos Tzimas was there to score from the rebound to make it 1-0 to the home side.

In the second half, the pattern of the match did not change much, with PAOK looking for a second goal and Kifisia trying to get back into the game via the counterattack.

In the end, Kifissia managed to find the net in the 75th minute, against the run of play. After Loumor’s cross, Masouras netted to make it 1-1.

PAOK’s response was immediate. Konstantelias produced a magical flick to release Baba , and he sent over a dangerous cross which was accidentally put past hos own goalkeeper by Kapan to give PAOK a 2-1 win.
