PAOK B defeat Kozani 4-2

PAOK remain top of the table after securing a 4-2 win over Kozani in their Matchday 3 Super League 2 play outs contest, which took place on Wednesday in Efkarpia. PAOK have 21 points having played one game less.

B started well and they came close to opening the scoring in the first 15 minutes on at least two occasions, with Kanis and Spyrakos unlucky. However, they did not take advantage of the opportunities and on a counterattack in the 30th minute, it was Kozani who took the lead with Kallergis’ long shot. However, PAOK B reacted immediately and equalized in the 39th minute with Goumas stealing possession and then finding the net with a placed effort after a pass from Giaxis.

The Double-headed Eagle came on even stronger in the second 45 minutes and in the 59th minute they made the breakthrough with Shapovalov, from Bradonijc’s assist. In the 61st minute, Darelas put PAOK B 3-1 ahead by taking advantage of Filon’s run and cross from the right. Still more goals were to come. In an unexpected phase, the visitors reduced the deficit via  Iakos in the 64th minute, but PAOK B had the last word. In the 67th minute, Darelas passed to Bradonijć and he made the final score 4-2 from close range.

The next game for PAOK’s second string is this coming Sunday against Triglia, which will be played at the Kabaniakos Stadium.
