Match Report

Just unstoppable

12.02.2018

PAOK prevailed 3-0, providing goals and splendid football. As for the scoreline, it’s rather flattering for the visitors who became the 14th consecutive ‘victim’ of the “Double-Headed Eagle”.

Yevhen Shakhov gave PAOK the lead in the 12th minute, following a headed assist by Aleksandar Prijović. Soon afterwards, Fernando Varela doubled the home side’s lead and broke into tears while celebrating along with his son, while the Toumba faithful cheered the Cape Verde defender who has been sensational this season.

Early in the second half, Prijović made it 3-0 and sealed PAOK’s victory and their climb back to the top of the standings.

Line-ups:

PΑΟΚ ( Răzvan Lucescu ): Paschalakis, Matos, Varela, Crespo, Vieirinha (73’ Azevedo), Maurício, Shakhov, Pelkas (78’ Cañas), Biseswar, Campos (62’ Mak), Prijović.

AEL Larissa (Ilias Fyntanis): Božović, Wallace, Žižić, Jovanović (46’ Mladenović), Gojković, Fatjon, Lagos, Milosavljević, Aganović (82’ Hubchev), Masouras, Nazlidis (66’ Perrone).
