Deconstruction…

04.02.2015

PAOK took Superleague by storm in the first half of the season. In 2015 however, they have lost their aura of superiority that had them leading the standings and are now trailing, having lost considerable ground. The most alarming fact is that PAOK concede almost identical goals and give their rivals the opportunity to take the lead and then play the scoreboard comfortably. Feisty OFI managed to take a two-goal lead by half-time and keep the visitors at bay.

After the interval, PAOK improved, but their rivals’ advantage was already considerable. Papadopoulos reduced distances provisionally, but they conceded a third as they were pushing for the equalizer.

The match is not withstanding review, as everything went wrong, the players themselves admitting so.
