U20s on a winning streak
PAOK U20s added yet another three-pointer to their account with a 2-1 away victory over Levadiakos. The troops of Vladan Ivić overcame the absences of first-string players and edged out an important win away from Thessaloniki. They are now looking more confident than ever and new players emerge in starring roles.
Kristian Kusta led the way once again on Saturday. The tall forward broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, taking advantage of Levadiakos’ sloppy defending. PAOK managed held on to their advantage comfortably until the end of the first half.
The home side took the visitors by surprise after the interval and equalized in the 51st minute. PAOK did reply just eight minutes afterwards. Chatzidimpas headed home Κakko’s free kick in the 59th minute.
PAOK U20s could not count on injured Soilemezoglou, Vasaitis, Tselepidis and Topalidis, nor on Pozoglou, Koulouris, Savvidis, Deligiannidis and Pouggouras who now feature in the senior squad. The team has a total of 26 points in 12 games and are in fourth place of the standings, trailing 3rd-placed Panionios by three points.
