Comfortable win for the U19s
Atromitos tried to catch their opponents cold in the 6th minute, but Talichmanidis denied them in spectacular fashion. Four minutes later, PAOK took the lead with a powerful shot by Panidis.
The same player all but finished off the encounter in the 19th minute with a volley, teed up by Tsaousis.
The second half started just like the first, with a fine intervention by Talichmanidis. PAOK were seeing much of the ball and were in control of proceedings. Atromitos, on the other hand, became dangerous in the last 20 minutes, but the defence of the “Double-Headed Eagle” held firm.
In the 82nd minute, Tzovaras made it 3-0 from close range, on an assist by Gaitanidis. Atromitos could only score a consolation goal deep into stoppage time.
