Feisty comeback in Tripolis for PAOK U19s
PAOK took the initiative right from the start and prevailed on the pitch. After wasting a few good opportunities, Tsaousis netted the opener with a long-range strike in the 30th minute. The home side reacted right away though and gained the lead with two goals in the first half.
After the interval, the “Double-Headed Eagle” went after the equalizer with patience and perseverance and wasted many chances to score. However they remained calm, cool-headed and mounted a formidable comeback in the last 10 minutes.
Pournaras leveled in the 80th minute for García’s troops and two minutes later Salamouras netted the winner for PAOK.
Top-placed PAOK now have a 10-point distance from second-placed AEK Athens with an impressive tally of 43 points out of the first 15 matches of the season.
