Under-19s clinch place in cup final
With a twist in the tail and a fight until the end, PAOK’s Under-19 side overcame Panathinaikos 2-1 in Athens to claim a place in the Under-19 Greek Cup final on May 24 in Crete.
Despite falling behind, Tsiapakidis’s and Hagan’s side showed determination and quality to take control of the game and found a way to overturn the score in their semi-final clash to claim a ticket to the final of the newly established cup competition.
The home team took the lead in the 25th minute and in the 71st minute Balde, with a great piece of individual skill and shot, equalized for PAOK. In the 85th minute, Vryzas then won the penalty, and Kosidis converted it to make it 2-1 and send PAOK to the final.
