PAOK B started the game well and converted their superiority into a goal after just 13 minutes. The home team’s goalkeeper did not clear the ball properly, and Hurtado cleverly lobbed him from outside the pernalty area, making it 1-0. That came after Gitersos had missed the chance to give his team the lead in the 10th minute, and then Kanis had a great chance to double the lead in the 21st minute.

PAOK B did not have the same tempo in the second half, as a result of which they allowed Ethnikos to threaten mainly via set pieces. In the most dangerous of those, however, in the 61st minute, Nikolakoulis made an impressive save. In the 72nd minute, however, PAOK B then found a way to score a second time, again with Hurtado the man on target. Smyrlis executed a free kick and at the second attempt, Hurtado made it 2-0. The game was essentially over at that point as a contest, although the home team still had time to miss a significant opportunity in the 87th minute to reduce the deficit.

PAOK’s second string’s next game is at home against Diagoras and then there’s the final game of the play-outs, against Niki Volos.
