Koupenos, Tsiotas and Kyriazidis turn pro
Three more PAOK Academy youngsters have come of age by signing their first professional contracts. The latest trio to turn pro are full-backs, and each one from a different generation…
The oldest of those signing professional contracts during this period is Giorgos Koupenos (2006), who is now a professional with a contract valid from March 2025 until 30.06.2026. The Under-19 right-back joined PAOK in 2017 from Alexandros Kilkis, making the Kilkis-Thessaloiniki route daily for several years. He is a league champion with the Under-17s (with the 2005 generation, although younger), was promoted early to the Under-19s, is a youth international with Greece and is now a first-year student at the Department of Economics at the University of Macedonia.
There’s also a first professional contract for Pavlos Tsiotas, born in 2007, with a contract valid from July 2025 until 30.06. 2027. A right-sided full-back and another Under-19 squad member, who began training at PAOK in 2021, coming from the Ioannina Tigers. Tsiotas is a league champion with the Under-17s, to which he was promoted early, and he is also an international.
Dimitris Kyriazidis is now also turning professional, having signed a contract valid from July 2025 to 30.06.2028. The Under-17s player, born in 2008, is also a right-back and joined PAOK in 2016 (at the age of eight) from Esperos Kallitheas. He is a league champion with the Under-15s and the Under-17s (although younger in the 2023-24 season), and, as it seems, will also win another league title this season with the Under-17s again, while he is also an international.
