Comfortable win for Under-17s against Olympiacos
PAOK’s Under-17s produced a dominating display and beat Olympiacos 2-0, also hitting the post three times in a one-sided match. The Double-headed Eagle are now three points ahead of Olympiacos, who have played one match more.
On Matchday 24 of the Super League, which took place on Saturday morning in Souroti, Orfanos’s and Krinitsa’s side did not give Olympiacos the slightest chance to get into the game. They took the lead through Economou in the 36th minute and in the 63rd minute Souvlatzis made it 2-0 with a nice individual effort. There could have been more goals but Souvlatzis, Giokas and Avgitidis were all denied by the woodwork.
PAOK remain top of the table with 45 points from 18 games, compared to 42 for Olympiacos, who have played 19 matches.
