PAOK B slip to defeat at Kaftanzoglio [with pictures]
PAOK B left the Kaftanzoglio Stadium empty-handed after they conceded a goal in each half, failed to react and ultimately slipped to their second consecutive defeat in the championship.
PAOK B started rather passively, and as a result of which the home team gained control. The visitors were forced into a substitution with Tasiouras going off in the seventh minute, as he was fouled and could not continue. Shortly after, however, in the 17th minute, POT Iraklis took the lead with Bertolio scoring from close range. In the 22nd minute Balomenos saved well to keep the visitors in the game.
In the second 45 minutes, PAOK B were forced to press forward, and they started in determined mood and kept the ball, to some extent, however it was obvious that they were not composed. Perhaps, against the run of play, in the 65th minute, the home team scored a second time, with Tsintonis on target and essentially ended the match as a contest. The Double-headed Eagle had a chance to get back into the game with an effort from Filon in the 79th minute, but the danger was averted by Marchettiani.
PAOK B’s next game is next Wednesday against Ethnikos Keramidi (a previously postponed game).
