Emphasis on tactics
Work continues at an intensive pace during the ongoing international break, so that the squad are fully ready for the restart of competitive action and perform as they should in the upcoming games.
On Friday, the players worked under the guidance of the technical staff on build-up play from the defensive zones, through some targeted exercises and games. The program was completed with a friendly match.
Timeoué Bakayoko felt some discomfort in his calf, was left out of training and on Saturday (16.11) he will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the problem he is facing.
Stefan Schwab did not come to the training center for a second day running, as he continues to suffer from a virus, while Baba, Taison and Ozdoev all followed a recovery program.
At the same time, during the international break, the technical staff of the first team will hold training sessions with the PAOK B players.
After the end of Thursday’s training session (14.11) the coaches worked with the second team’s defensive line, on issues of positioning and defensive tactics in various situations during the match, while today it was the turn of the attackers, who worked on build-up and ball circulation.
On Saturday (16.11) the team will train at 10:30.
