Tarik Tissoudali is the first contender. In the 84th minute of the match against Viktoria Plzen and with his team 2-0 down, Despodov crossed from the right to Tissoudali, who headed the ball into the bottom left corner of Jedlicka’s goal with a perfect header.
In the same match against Plzen, PAOK scored another crucial goal, this time via Baba. Chalov, Despodov, A. Zivkovic and Kamara all combined perfectly, with Mady providing the assist for the Ghanaian defender to head home and level the match up at 2-2 in the third minute of added time.
The last candidate to fight for the award is Kiril Despodov. In the game against OFI, the Double-headed Eagle won a free-kick several meters outside the penalty area. The Bulgarian winger did not hesitate, executing a superb effort into the top right corner of Christogeorgos’ goal.
