Under-19 side ready for season kickoff
PAOK’s Under-19 side start their competitive journey for the 2024-25 season on Saturday, August 31, facing Atromitos in Athens (12:00). The Under-19 championship will start from Matchday 3 and will be held in two rounds, until the completion of 26 games and the emergence of the champions. The first two games (1st, and 2nd matchdays) will be held after the 13th round of fixtures and before the start of the Second Round. This year, for the first time, a new event will be held, the Under-19 Cup, which will take the form of single knock-out matches in four phases and will end with the final, from which the cup winner will obviously emerge.
Petros Tsiapakidis remains at the helm of the team, assisted by Ebenezer Hagan and largely the same backup staff. The squad maintains the main core of last year, the youngsters of the generation of 2006, to which are added those born in 2007 and champions in the season 2023-24, while apparently it is possible that some players from 2005, who basically now belong to PAOK B will also take part. After all, it is not excluded that during the year some of the younger ones will also be promoted.
Needless to say, the majority of the youngsters in this squad are internationals.
