Under-19’s wrap up with a win – one point off top spot
PAOK’s Under-19 side did what was required of them – by beating Panserraikos 4-1, although their mind was in Agrinio, where Panaitolikos was welcoming Olympiacos at the same time. PAOK looked for a potential Olympiacos defeat, in order to celebrate the championship, but it was not to be.
The game in Agrinio ended (0-0), so PAOK finished second in the Super League championship, one point behind Olympiacos.
For us, of course, the most important thing is that Thodoris Papaefthymiou returned to playing healthy…
In the match itself, Kalogiros made it 1-0 for PAOK in the fourth minute from an assist by Kesidis, Adam passed for Babouras in the 11th minute to make it 2-0 and in the 18th minute Panserraikos reduced the deficit to 2-1.
In the second half, Papageorgiou won a penalty that was well taken by Adam in the 54th minute, and in the 60th minute, Babouras again scored from Adam’s pass, to make the final score 4-1. It should be noted that in the 70’th minute Nikolakoulis also saved a penalty.
