Determined to beat Olympiacos this time, PAOK;s Under-19 side showed power and quality, prevailed 2-1 on Sunday in Souroti and reduced the deficit to three points. There are two games left for both PAOK and Olympiacos in the title race…
The visitors came to Thessaloniki with the team that won the UEFA Youth League and went on to suffer their second defeat in the league against the Double-headed Eagle (who also won the first round game in Renti by a 2-1 scoreline).
PAOK started the game strongly, being particularly mobile and in the third minute Kalogiros won a penalty, which Tsobanis converted for 1-0. Then, with a nice individual piece of play, Gitersos made it 2-0 for PAOK in the 34th minute. Olympiacos pulled a goal back in the 81st minute through Pneumonidis.
