The first contender is Brandon Thomas . We start with the home game against Dinamo Zagreb. Taison picked out the Spanish forward at the back post, crossed it from a standstill(!), and Brandon sent the ball into the opposite corner of the net with a flying header, making it 3-0 and giving his team a place in the quarter-finals of the Conference League.
Next up, it’s a flawless attacking transition. An almost poetic team effort. A goal taken from every coach’s dreams. Meite took control of the ball from his own half, evaded Cerin and kept going until he arrived just outside the Panathinaikos penalty area, where he released Murg with a superb through ball, with the Austrian in turn passing to Brandon who finished off the move to make it 2-1.
The second and last candidate is Kiril Despodov . In the match against Panathinaikos on Matchday 3 of the Play Offs, the Bulgarian winger found himself at the penalty spot waiting to pounce. Rafa Soares saw him, pickd him out, and Despodov scored with a powerful finish with the outside of his boot to make it 1-0 in the second minute.
