A headed save, an assist and an individual effort. Three distinct and great footballing moments are in the running for February’s PAOK TV Play Of the Month. It’s upto you to decide the winner.
The first candidate is Konstantinos Koulierakis. In the second leg of the cup clash with Panathinaikos, the Greek defender did something that resembled a block in basketball. In the six th minute of added time after 120 minutes of normal time, Mancini found himself on the edge of the six-yard box with more or less an open goal to aim at since Kotarski was indisposed trying to prevoiusly challenge for the ball. The Argentinian made a powerful header goalwards, but The Hammer had already taken up a position on the line, and headed the ball away to snuff out the danger.
Andrija Zivkovic is the next contender. In the game against Panaitolikos, the Serb perfectly brought down Ozdoev’s cross, and at the right time he sent over a perfect cross to Konstantelias , who scored to make it 3-1 to the Double-headed Eagle.
Finally, Mr.Breeze could not be missing from the discussion. In Serres, Konstantelias produced a perfect off-the-ball action. Jonny crossed the ball into teh box, Konstantelias dummied and let the ball pass over him, with Diamantis thinking he was in control, but at the last moment the Greek winger gained possession and scored with an exemplary shot to make it 1-0.
