PAOK turn a page and look towards Agrinio

PAOK leaves behind the bitter night at the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” Stadium, puts aside the upcoming matches with Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Europa Conference League, and turns its attention to the domestic league and the last three games of the regular season of the 2023-24 Stoiximan Super League. The first mission is to Agrinio against Panaitolikos.

23.02.2024

The team’s preparation started on Friday afternoon (23.02) with training in Nea Mesimvria. The players who were in the starting line-up against Panathinaikos in the cup match followed a recovery and rehabilitation program on the pitch, in the swimming pool and in the gym, while the rest of the group worked with the coaches on aspects of tactics and also played a friendly game.

Baba returned to Thessaloniki and will be out of training until Sunday, as he is suspended for the game against Panaitolikos. GIannis Michailidis underwent some tests which showed that he has suffered a strain in his right thigh. The central defender’s recovery period is estimated between four and five weeks.

William Troost-Ekong will undergo further tests to determine the extent of the damage he sustained in the Nigeria matches after the internal swelling and bleeding has subsided and then determine his recovery.

On Saturday (24.02) PAOK will train at 11:00 in Nea Mesimvria and depart in the afternoon for Agrinio.
