PAOK B defeated by AEL [with pictures]
PAOK B went down to a 2-1 defeat by AEL in the postponed Matchday 21 Super League 2 contest which took place at midday on Wednesday at the Makedonikos stadium.
A competitive affair, with mistakes from both sides that created dangerous moments, but essentially a midfield battle was how the first 45 minutes could be defined. If one excludes two good chances for AEL (at 26 and at 44 minutes), and a header by Kanis on 41 minutes, the match did not have anything special to offer.
The second half started strongly for the visitors, who went two goals ahead thanks to goals from Kosonou in the 48th minute and Stina in the 52nd minute. PAOK B had the answer and in the 61st minute they reduced the deficit with a nice strike by Tsopouroglou, after a pass from Panidis. What followed was an attacking monologue by the home side, albeit unfortuantely without an equalizing goal. They did come very close to getting it on at least two occasions, but it just would not come.
The next game for PAOK B is next Thursday (29.02) against Kozani.
