No time for rest
The January “marathon” continues for PAOK. After the victory over PAS Ioannina at Toumba Stadium in the Stoiximan Super League, the next challenge is the quarter-final of the Betsson Greek Cup against Panserraikos, with the first leg taking place in Serres.
Razvan Lucescu’s team want to take the first step towards qualifying for the semi-finals, and it’s with this goal in mind that they started their preparations on Monday afternoon (15.01) in Nea Mesimvria.
The players who were in the starting XI of the match against PAS followed a recovery and rehabilitation program in the swimming pool and the gym. The rest of the group worked on the pitch in the areas of tactics and fitness, through a series of drills and high-intensity mini-matches.
Andre Vieirinha followed an individual training program due to the discomfort he is experiencing in his right buttock muscle. The captain’s condition will be reassessed in tomorrow’s training session.
On Tuesday (16.01) PAOK will train at 16:00 before departing by coach for Serres.
