Under-19s chalk up another win
PAOK’s Under-19 team overcame Lamia 2-1 to add three more points to their collection, and the youngsters are already preparing for the next match against league leader Asteras Tripoli on Saturday (09.12) with only two points separating the top two.
PAOK took the lead in the 26th minute with Tsobanis‘ header after Panikidis’ cross, but the visitors equalized in the 40th minute on the counter. The Double-headed Eagle responded though by taking control of the majority of possession, putting on pressure and creating several opportunities. And they finally got their reward in the 76th minute when Filon won and converted a penalty that gave victory to Petros Tsiapakidis’ team.
A highlight of the match was also the return to action of Alexandros Adam after his injury, essentially his debut match for this season.
