Under-17s defeat Volos 2-0
PAOK’s Under-17 side claimed all three points from their home clash with Volos, beating the visitors 2-0 on Matchday 5 of the 2nd phase of the Super League, which took place at midday on Saturday at the municipal stadium of Efkarpia.
Mythos opened the scoring with a goal in the 20th minute, after Eleftheriadis‘ assist. Papanikopoulos then added the second in the 60th minute to make it 2-0 with midway through the second half, after Dunga’s pass. Stylos almost made it three but he was denied by the woodwork in the 83rd minute, and again with a header in the 85th minute. The Double-headed Eagle finished the game with 10 players, as in the 88th minute Mythos was injured – fortunately not seriously – but had to leave the field with PAOK having made all their alloted substitutes.
