In the final game of the EURO 2024 qualifiers, our national team drew 2-2 with France, with Giannis Konstantelias coming off the bench in the 85th minute. Konstantelias , however, was also a goalscorer in blue and white in his maiden appearance for his country in the starting line-up in the friendly game against New Zealand before that. He scored in the 10th minute of the match to make it 1-0, with the final score being 2-0. He was substituted in the 58th minute. Koulierakis and Tsingaras did not get any gametime. As for the next matches, Greece must beat Kazakhstan (21/03/2024) at home, and if they success they will then face an away tie (26/03/2023) in the qualifying final against the winner of the other play-off between Georgia and Luxembourg, which will also be held on 21/03/2024.

Andrija Zivkovic’s Serbia qualified for the EURO 2024 finals for the first time in their history despite a tense 2-2 draw with Bulgaria, in which Zivkovic was a starter and was substituted after 76 minutes, as was Kiril Despodov, who scored in the 69th minute to make it 2 -1 to Bulgaria, while he also hit the woodwork in the 28th minute. As for Serbia’s friendly against Belgium (the Belgians won 1-0), Zivkovic came on in the 71st minute.

Despodov had another good performance, in the 2-2 draw with Hungary (he also helped his team qualify for the EURO 2024 finals), as he was a starter, he recorded both a goal and an assist.

Poland finished their EURO 2024 qualifiers with a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic and may be able to claim a place in the final stage via the Nations League play offs. Both in this game and in the friendly against Latvia (the Poles won 2-0), Tomas Kedziora did not play.

Ali Samatta recorded an assist for the only goal of Tanzania’s match against Niger for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. In the national team’s other game, this time against Morocco, (the Moroccans won 2-0), PAOK’s forward came off the bench in the 55th minute.

The Greece Under-21 side claimed a great 2-1 victory over Portugal on Matchday 10 of the EURO 2025 qualifiers, with Argyris Darelas in the starting XI and providing the assist to Tzolis to make it 1-1, and Panagiotis Panagiotou came on in the 64th minute. Our young internationals also defeated the Faroe Islands 3-0 with Dimitris Tsopouroglou starting for 45 minutes, Darelas playing 87 minutes, and Panagiotou coming on in the 69th minute.

The Greece Under-19 team which included six PAOK players (Tzimas, Goumas, Kottas, Kastidis, Filon, Deligiannis) in the squad were ranked third in its group, but finally qualified for the Elite Round of the European Championship. From the qualifying phase, the first two teams in the standings of each group qualified and only one best 3rd placed team out of the 13 groups of the qualifiers.

Thanks to the victory (2-1) over Lithuania, with a come=from-behind performance and a goal from Stefanos Tzimas from an assist by Konstantinos Goumas, Greece emerged as the best 3rd-placed team of all the groups, despite the two defeats it suffered against Turkey and Belarus.

And so, Greece’s Under-19’s will be in the draw on December 7 together with: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.
