Under-19s beat Aris 2-1 [with pictures]
Second match, second win, this time a 2-1 success against Aris meant that PAOK’s Under-19 side have taken six points from six and now head next to Ioannina to face PAS.
PAOK had a hard time in the first half, since Aris went into the match intending on trying to muscle PAOK out of the game, but the home side’s quality prevailed. Two nice goals saw them take a significant lead. In the 10th minute, from a very smart move, Goumas found Vassiliadis and he found Kalogiros, who scored to make it 1-0. And in the 42nd minute, Hatsidis fired home nicely for 2-0.
The game was an even tougher affair in the second half, with the referee producing many cards unfortunately, including a dismissal for PAOK and then finally a consolation goal for Aris who reduced the deficit to 2-1 in stoppage time.
