The two-day visit of UEFA delegation in Thessaloniki and Toumba Stadium came to a close on Thursday. They inspected the Toumba installations ahead of PAOK’s participation in the UEFA Europa League and expressed their satisfaction with the constant improvements in PAOK’s home ground during recent years.
Due to PAOK’s participation in last season’s UEFA Europa League, where they reached the last 32 stage, the UEFA delegation members were already aware of the level of installations, infrastructure and hospitality Toumba can provide. As expected, they focused on renovations already going on or scheduled to start shortly in all areas of Toumba: spectators’ stands, press tribune, mixed zone area, press conference room, VIP stands and the new hospitality area.
UEFA delegation’ members were visibly satisfied, given that some of them had visited Toumba in the past, before the extensive renovation work. They also let PAOK people know that no further changes are required in order to meet the high standards of UEFA and their sponsors, even in the most advanced stages of the competition.
