It was an enthralling affair, right from the start. PAOK B started well and missed a penalty after eight minutes. Gordeziani won the spot-kick, but Darelas failed to convert it, while in the 22nd minute, before then hitting the woodwork twice via Darelas and Chatzistravos. Panathinaikos B also had their fair share of chances, on 11 and 18 minutes, but Monastirlis saved on both occasions. However, against the run of play, the Greens did eventually open the scoring in the 36th minute thanks to Bilal, who also threatened again in the 42nd minute.

The Double-headed Eagle started the second half with fresh dynamism, threatening twice via Gordeziani in the 46th and 48th minutes. The equalizer seemed only to be a matter of time, and duly came in the 57th minute with the fine piece of play from Panidis, whose powerful shot found the net. At 1-1, PAOK B continued to dominate, and they continued to hit the frame of the goal, with Ninua’s free-kick in the 66th minute this time not quite finding its target. The second goal for PAOK’s second string which put them ahead came in the 71st minute with Gordeziani accurately converting a penalty won by Panidis. Now in unstoppable mood, PAOK B hit a third goal to wrap up the scoring in the 89th minute, Ninua’s free-kick being diverted into the net by Kottas’ header from close range.
