Under-17s beat Lamia 2-1
While it was a much more comfortable win than the 2-1 scoreline suggests, PAOK’s Under-17 team beat Lamia in Souroti and maintain top spot in their group in the Super League championship with 28 points, having already secured their place in the Final Four. The next game for Tsiapakidis and Hagan’s team is in Larissa next Sunday.
PAOK went in front in only in the fourth minute with a nice team effort, with the final pass by Papageorgiou converted with an excellent finish by Vryzas, and in the 19th minute they doubled their advantage thanks to Tsobanis, who took advantage of Vryzas’ through ball in behind the opposing defense. After that, PAOK were guilty of missing numerous chances to extend their lead even further, and they ended up putting pressure on themselves by conceding a goal in the 68th minute, but thankfully their goal was not threatened and eventually they went on to win another three points.
PAOK lineup: Beleris, Arvanitis, Vyrsokinos, Kosidis, Kalioglou, Papaefthymiou (60′ Hatzigavriel), Tsobanis (75′ Kesidis), Sapanis, Vryzas (75′ Mythos), Papageorgiou (85′ Ziogas), Mylonas.
