PAOK’s aid for Turkey and Syria
PAOK is a club that knows very well what pain and being uprooted means. It’s a big family that always aims to stand beside those who really need it, with regard for race, nation, or religion. The embrace of this large family has opened wide for the victims of the deadly earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. A challenge in which we are all teammates.
At the behest of owner Ivan Savvidis, PAOK has begun its solidarity actions for our fellow human beings in Turkey and Syria who have been left devastated by the tragic effects of the recent deadly earthquake.
PAOK will give a percentage of the proceeds of ticket sales from the derby against AEK to those affected for the purchase of basic necessities.
At the same time, on Sunday (19.02) from 11:00 until the start of the match at the Toumba, there will be a collection of items to be sent to the affected areas at the VIP entrance. Let’s all help together.
Items to donate:
- Packaged long-life foods (e.g. crackers, rusks, bars, biscuits, cookies, tinned foods, nuts, etc.
- Baby food
- Baby milk
- Diapers
- Baby care items
Working with us will be the volunteers of the Open School Days group who will collect and distribute the goods to send directly to Turkey and Syria.
Before the match against AEK, PAOK will also honor EMAK for their work.
Finally, in cooperation with the Turkish consulate, a cash collection for the earthquake victims is also available. Anyone who wishes can make their donation via transfer to the following account:
