Upwardly mobile but lacking in a cutting edge during the first 45 minutes, PAOK B only managed to create two notable chances on goal (both via Gordeziani). However, there was no end result from those opportunities, and so both teams headed into the dressing rooms at the half-time interval level with the match goalless.

The pattern of play did not change much in the second 45 minutes, although both coaches also made several changes. The Double-headed Eagle tried to pass the ball around as much as possible, but a combative Thesprotos were well organised and managed to limit the visitors’ time on the ball and their attacking intentions. The game had plenty of passion and touch markingh, but it also saw PAOK B create some good chances. There were two efforts from Tzimas, the first in the 53rd minute after a nice combination with Spyrakos was cleared off the line. And it was Tzimas, from his second chance, who found a way to break the home team’s resistance with a free kick in the 61st minute, scoring the goal that gave PAOK B the victory. It’s also noteworthy that in the 84th minute, the Double-headed Eagle also hit the woodwork with Meletidis the unlucky player who saw his shot thwarted by the frame of the goal.
