A first defeat for PAOK B
PAOK B produced a performance which was far from their usual convincing self, and the result was a first defeat of the Betsson Super League 2 season against NFC Volos. Niki Volou secured a 2-0 win in this Matchday 8 encounter. Despite the loss, PAOK B remain top of standings of their group with 16 points from seven games. The Double-headed Eagle made up for a sluggish first half, during which the home side were in complete control and turned their superiority into two goals that decided the match. In the 22nd minute, Siafas opened the scoring for Niki Volou, who pressed dangerously, coming close to a second goal as well, with Talichmanidis saving well twice. However, in the 40th minute, the hosts found a way to double their advantage with Milunovic, and remained dominant until the end of the half.
During the second 45 minutes, the coaching staff made three changes, all of which were completed in the 70th minute, without unfortunately having the effect of helping PAOK to gain control of the match. With the exception of a couple of half chances brought about by two corners, and a Michailidis header that went wide, there were no other dangerous moments created by the Double-headed Eagle side.
