Under-17s clainch derby win over Aris [pictures]
With three goals by Grigoris Politakis, two of which came late on in teh first and third minutes of added time, PAOK’s Under-17 team turned what seemed to be a 2-1 defeat to a 3-2 victory over local rivals Aris in the postponed derby clash.
After two bad results, Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s side returned to winning ways and they will now play another match that had been postponed, against PAS Giannina, which will take place on January 7 or 8.
Against Aris, PAOK took the lead in the 12th minute through Politakis after a pass from Chatsidis, however Aris equalized in the 50th minute and found a way to then take the lead in the 65th minute. In the 91st minute, however, Politakis equalized for the Double-headed Eagle with a clinical shot, and two minutes later he gave his team all three points with a dramatic late strike.
