Under-17 side defeat Panetolikos 1-0
Although they controlled possession of the ball and were clearly the more attacking side, PAOK’s Under-17 team struggled to find a route to goal. That was until the 75th minute, of course, when the home scored the goal to finally see off Panetolikos in the penultimate match of the first round of the season.
Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s team faced a formidable opponent, but still managed to have the upper hand in the match, and create several good chances, one of which hit the woodwork. However, a goal did not seem to be coming. Thankfully it did in the 75th minute with a ehader from Kalaitsidis, after a free-kick from Karaioannou.
The result means PAOK’s 100 per cent record since the start of the season remains intact, and they will look to extend that against local rivals Aris away on Saturday 29.10 for what will be the last game of the first phase of the Super League championship.
PAOK lineup: Katsaros, Arvanitis, Polykratis, Panikidis, Avrampos, Papaefthymiou (63′ Sapanis), Tsobanis (75′ Telo), Kalaitsidis, Vryzas (46′ Bakas), Karaioannou, Tolios (46′ Kesidis).
