Under-19s defeat Lamia [with pictures]

PAOK’s Under-19s scored another victory, this time beating Lamia 1-0 on Matchday 4 of the Super League championship.

10.09.2022

The Double-headed Eagle were the better side throughout the match. Dominant in defence, PAOK were not threatened at any time, and created phases, but – fortunately for Lamia – they were not as particularly effective as they could have been. They managed to take the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal by Georgiadis, after an assist by Kalogiros, and that proved to be enough.

In the second half, PAOK did try to consolidate their supremacy, however a penalty won by Babouras and taken by Adam in the 63rd minute was saved by the Lamia goalkeeper.

PAOK kept their lead intact until the final whistle and celebrated their second victory in the championship, and they now have six points.

PAOK lineup:

Angelidis, Sinanai, Passachidis (45′ Deligiannis), Filon, Georgiadis, Sznaucner, Athanasiou (57′ Goumas), Kalogiros (74′ Vassiliadis), Tzimas, Gitersos (45′ Babouras), Adam (81′ Politakis).
