PAOK B faced a strong test with the coaching team having the majority of their squad at their disposal, plus Quagliata, Ricardo, Balomenos and Koutsias. Ricardo was the player who opened the scoring for PAOK B. Veria equalised, but the Double-headed Eagle had too much quality and found a way to take the lead in the dying seconds of the half, through Zilos.

That gave the hosts the platform to push on for more goals as they began to dominate the match, with PAOK B demonstrating dynamism and creativity. The home side fashioned several good chances in the second half, and they were united and efficient, scoring a third goal through Gordeziani, a fourth via Panidis, and a fifth with Gordeziani again on target to take his personal tally for the game to two.
