The Double-headed Eagle achieved their goal and started their season with a victory. The 1-0 final result did not do justice to Razvan Lucescu’s side, who completely dominated the match and were rarely threatened, while creating plenty of scoring opportunities.

Khaled Narey was one of the best players on the pitch. The German winger was a deligh to watch on the right wing, combining well with his team-mates and creating plenty of cracks in the opposition defence, while also being consistent in his defensive duties.

In the Fans’ Man of the Match poll for the game, Narey collected 45.78% of the votes to win the individual award.

In second place was the goalscorer Brandon Thomas , while the podium was completed by Konstantinos Koulierakis, who made his official debut in a black and white shirt.
