Family friendly…
Reaching match-ready fitness and rhythmns are essential, even in pre-season. And so, on Saturday morning in Nea Mesimvria, one of the toughest friendlies of the summer took place. PAOK against PAOK.
The players were divided into two teams and competed for 80 minutes in ideal weather conditions (not) in the hot summer sun at the training peak of the week, and before a much needed scheduled rest on Sunday (07.08). It was a high-intensity match that allowed Razvan Lucescu to gauge the level of players’ readiness.
The good news of the day was that Giannis Michailidis trained with a ball for the first time since his knee injury. The Greek defender is constantly upping his training tempo within the rehabilitation program he is following and now in his… repertoire, he has added exercises with a ball.
The PAOK players return to training on Monday (08.08).
