Sastre arrived in January to give PAOK option on the right side of the defense and proved to be a reliable addition to the Double-headed Eagle squad. He started impressively, scored two great goals in his first few games and won his right to remain at PAOK by reaching the agreed number of appearances which activated his purchase option.

And so, PAOK formally completed the acquisition of the Spaniard from Mallorca on a four-year contract.
