Under-17’s marching towards the title

Dominant, determined and absolutely superior in all areas, PAOK’s Under-17 side ended the regular season top of the table, comfortably leading from the beginning to end. Now the goal is the Final Four of the Super League Interwetten, starting with the semif-final on Sunday, March 13 (15.00) at the Panthessaliko Stadium.

PAOK face Atromitos, the club that finished second in Group 1, and of course the only goal is to qualify for the final, which will be held on March 16 (15.00). The other semi-final is between Aris and AEK (13.03 at 12.00). PAOK and Atromitos have met in the past in the semi-finals in the 2015-16 season, when the Double-headed Eagle qualified with a goal by Zisis Chatzistravos and went on to win the trophy.

PAOK finished first in Group 2 with 55 points, with Aris second having collected 42 points. PAOK recorded 18 wins, one draw and two defeats. They scored 68 goals and conceded 16. In the first group, AEK came first with 40 points, and Atromitos were second with 37.

For the Double-headed Eagle, the first five players in terms of minutes of participation were: Pasachidis (1483), Papageorgiou (1448), Filon (1447), Scznauzner (1365) and Kiatos (1172). Vassilis Papageorgiou, born in 2006, made the most appearances (20).

The top scorer is Tzimas with 14 goals, second is Adam with 11, followed by Gitersos with seven, Politakis with six, Vassiliadis and Pasachidis with four, Papageorgiou and Georgiadis with three.
