Under-17s win again to extend lead to 10 points [with pictures]
PAOK’s Under-17 side returned to winning way, defeating Volos 4-1 on Sunday afternoon in Souroti, increasing their lead ahead of second-placed Aris to 10 points. The win was soured by the fact that Konstantinos Kastidis had to leave the pitch with a serious shoulder injury.
As for the game, Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s team locked up the win in just 25 minutes. In the 12th minute, Pasachidis opened the scoring with a header after Vassiliadis’ corner. Then, in the 17th minute, Goumas fired home to make it 2-0, taking advantage of Ibrahim’s assist. The latter then got on the scoresheet in the 24th minute, netting from Papageorgiou’s assist. The icing on the cake for 4-0 was provided by Tzimas in the 25th minute following an assist by Goumas. The visitors reduced the deficit on 45 minutes with a successful penalty conversion.
The next game for the Under-17s is with PAS Giannina. The penultimate match before the Final Four …
