Another emphatic win for Under-17s [pictures]
PAOK’s Under-17 side keep going from win to win in the Super League. Tsiapakidis and Hagan’s side easily defeated Panetolikos 6-1 in Sourioti, producing some great football and scoring some excellent goals. The next match is against Xanthi on Sunday, October 10.
Gitersos opened the scoring in the 7th minute from close range from an assist by Tzimas. In the 18th minute Papageorgiou sent over a free-kick and Pasachidis scored with a back-post header to make it 2-0. In the 28th minute, it was Tzimas turn to get his name on the scoresheet for 3-0, converting a through-ball from Vassiliadis.
PAOK continued to dominate and play at a fast tempo in the second half, without being threatened at the other end either. Vasiliadis found the back of the net with a shot from the edge of the penalty are to make it 4-0 in the 57th minute, and after Papageorgiou’s corner kick in hte 60th minute, Georgiadis won a penalty, and stepped up to convert it to make the score 5-0.
The visitors reduced the deficit in the 68th minute, however the home side scored again in the 76th minute, Tzimas side-footing home sweetly following an assist from Vassiliadis.
