Vote for May’s BOX MVP
The 2020-21 season came to a conclusion inside a difficult month. It was a month that included five matches and had a very happy ending since the Double-headed Eagle managed to clinch second place in the league and celebrate another Greek Cup win. Let’s now cast our votes for the most valuable player in May. Who will win the BOX MVP award for May?
The first candidate is Fernando Varela. In a difficult season, the Cape Verde defender rediscovered his old form in the final stretch and was crucial to the team’s achievements. Playing as a libero in the trio of central defenders, he made a huge contribution to the team’s defensive improvements. Unbeatable at the back, and playing with the right attitude, he read the game brilliantly as well as contributing to the team’s attacking play.
The next contender is Alexandros Paschalakis. The Goldkeeper built on his excellent performances from March onwards, making a place in the starting lineup his own, and really became one of the team’s leading protagonists. And he was on form again in May. Flawless appearances, some major saves and an MVP performance in the Greek Cup final against Olympiacos.
The trio of contenders is complete with Andrija Zivkovic . The Serb kep his foot on the gas for yet another month. He scored a goal against Aris, produced an incredible assist to Michael Krmencik in the cup final for the winning goal, and he was generally a constant source of danger for opposition defences.
