PAOK in the colors of the Greek national flag
To mark 200 years since the beginning of the Greek Revolution, PAOK will wear the special commemorative blue jersey in the colors of the Greek flag to pay tribute to the heroes of 1821 who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Anyone who forgets his past is doomed to relive it. On this year’s anniversary of the Greek Revolution, two centuries have passed, and Greeks everywhere will remember those who gave their lives for their homeland, proudly raising the banner of freedom in the sky.
The love for our homeland is an integral part of the very history of our club. A refugee club created by people who did not want to forget their roots, truly recognizes very well what it means to honor your glorious past.
For this reason, in a symbolic move of historical significance, PAOK bows to all the heroes of 1821 and for the first time in its history plays on the pitch proudly wearing the blue colors of the Greek flag.
The special edition 1821 anniversary blue jersey, which was created in collaboration with MACRON from last summer, aims to inspire and remind all Greeks what they are capable of achieving when fighting for something as precious as freedom.
The jersey is designed in shades of blue, combined with thin, horizontal lines, inspired by the colors and the sacred symbolism of the Greek flag.
However, the really special features that highlight its symbolic identity are both the Greek flag high on the back, and the band that is sewn on the inside of the shirt, depicting the first two verses of our national anthem…
